Marie’s World in Books

Well, this year has been an amazing year for book releases for Authors, I have read over 200 new releases which have already been released or are due early next year. I have so many more reviews to upload on the blog but with the Christmas season taking precidence with my work life I have set them up for publishing in January onwards when normality has resumed.

I feel so blessed to have been granted so many fantastic storylines to read by both current authors and even more new authors who are just beginning their Author Profession within the industry, I have loved working with them all.

My personal book club which I run within my town has got some lovely members in, some I am now proud to call them friends as well. We are all from a range of different lifestyles and professions, the age range is so diverse which broadens the opinions we all have within the discussions from the chosen book of the month and we all have a great time – for some members its the highlight of their month.

We chose to do Secret Santa this year with the stipulation that the chosen book had to have an animal on the cover { January’s theme book} and with so many options available to everyone we came up with a variety of stories.

I have been dabbling in and out of writing my own novel over the last 6 months from networking with authors and I can’t believe it BUT I have taken the plunge and begun……. its going to be a gradual process probably with more scribbles and lose bits of paper while I build the framework to the story. Crazily, I woke up the other night and sat there for 20 or so minutes jotting down ideas I had just dreamt because I knew when I woke up a couple of hours later – my brain would be blank.
