This month has been super difficult to narrow down just five books from the huge amount I was honoured enough to be gifted.

This month I couldn’t choose just one favourite story, this month I have TWO favourites.

A Fellowship of Librarians & Dragons written by J Penner & The Floating Amsterdam Flower Shop written by Annabel French

Release Date 3rd June 2025
Release Date 19th June 2025

Both attracted me by the cover art as well as the titles, I am a sucker for pretty cover art. A perfect book of fantasy with dragons, dwarves and a gargoyle what more can a girl want – when reading this story it took me back to the Tv Advert a few years ago with the dragon in so instantly fell in love with it. Then a summer holiday romance starting a complete new life on the waterways of a new country living aboard a narrow boat, which is my dream as I myself love being out on the canals Paddleboarding.

My other three books I thoroughly enjoyed this month are new authors I’ve not previously read so I went in completely blind going by the cover and blurb only.

Coming Home to Maple Tree Lodge is a really lovely story, which I can see many people falling in love with from Chapter One. The description of the locations and the storyline are spot on – the question is where is this place ? I would love to visit in a heartbeat.

Publish Date 15th June 2025

Falling In Love at Pennycress Inn is the Second instalment in the Cotswold Series by Sarah Hope ( I have never read book one in the series but it’s now in my TBR list). This story takes me back to my own childhood with the Carnival planning. The addition to this story of the elusive escapee farm animal causing havoc will have you laughing more than once.

The Daughter She Gave Away is a whirlwind of emotions between multiple characters, make sure you have tissues nearby…. Family dramas between two families which are also connected by a secret which ends up coming out due to a terminal cancer diagnosis. After the heartbreak of losing a loved one and finding out the truth – over time the body can heal with the support from others.

I would recommend all these books in a heartbeat to anyone.
